GB/T 21529-2008, The Determination of Water Wapour Transmission Rate For Plastic Film and Sheeting – Electrolytic Detection Sensor Method, co-drafted by China Packaging Research & Test Center (CPRTC), National Packaging Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Centre (Jinan) and Jinan Labthink Instruments Co., Ltd., will be formally promulgated on 1st October, 2008.

        As the first testing standard for water vapour transmission rate with electrolytic detection sensor method in China, the promulgation of this GB/T 21529-2008 will further enrich the methods and types of permeation testing standards in China. At the same time, the promulgation also strengthens the relevant promotional supports for many industry standards (for example, pharmaceutical industrial standards) so as to better satisfy the demands of the fast-growing packaging industry.
